I’m Maryam, and I’m not your typical science tutor – I’m a medical student at the University of Leeds, with a deep passion for teaching Biology and Chemistry.
My teaching approach is all about making learning exciting and effective. I use evidence-based techniques like active recall and targeted exam practice to help your child succeed.

Each tutoring session is meticulously customised to cater to your child’s specific requirements, ensuring an individualised learning journey. My ultimate aim extends beyond exam success; I strive to foster self-assurance and critical thinking skills in my students.

Experience: Previously I have tutored KS1, KS2 and GCSE level in small groups under ‘The Tutor’, a local tutoring company for three years. However currently I am looking to focus on one-to-one online tuition where I can focus my energy and work more closely with a single student. I have had lots of experience navigating Microsoft Teams and Zoom as a platform to tutor online.
