Information about Reb

Hiya, I`m Reb! I am an Experimental Psychology MSci undergraduate student at the University of Oxford.
I achieved all A* grades at A Level (Psychology, English Literature, and History), and I am so happy to be able to pass on the support I received to help you reach your academic goals!

As someone who has been on both ends of the tuition experience, I understand both what students need, and how tutors can help their students to help their aspirations become a reality.

My experience at Oxford has only made me fall in love with Psychology even more: my personal passion for learning about memory disorders and functional recovery from physical trauma has grown; and I have developed a great interest in functional imaging and qualitative research into mental health issues, too. There are so many cool avenues of research to uncover within Psychology, and I hope that my passion can help you feel more comfortable with studying it!

Willing to travel: 2 miles

Experience: I have experience tutoring GCSE triple science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Psychology and History, as well as A Level English Literature and Psychology. I have also worked on educational video content for Maths, English, triple science and History GCSE, with my primary experience being in editing content for GCSE and A Level Biology.

My number one priority is working with you to create an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable: talking through tricky topics in a fun and engaging way, and tailoring the work we do to how you like to learn. I aim to be less of a `lecture-y` tutor, and more someone you can chat to about the topic. Synaptic transmission giving you grief? Don`t know your frontal lobe from your occipital lobe? We can chat about it! I`ve always found that the process of talking through a tricky subject can not only help you understand it more, but improve your enjoyment of the subject itself.

If you want guidance with GCSE or A Level Psychology, or with Oxbridge admissions in general (particularly for Experimental Psychology, PPL, or PBS) then I`m happy to help!

I look forward to tutoring you! Take care :)
