Hello, my name is Lina. I am currently in my last year of Sixth form and hope to do Business (marketing) onto degree level next year. I have over 2 years of tutoring experience in maths, English, history, and business. I believe that with my experience and passion that I will be able to meet your request.
My GCSEs ranged from 7-9 in french, maths, English, science, history, Religious education, etc. (which is equivalent to A*-A). Although we have had the disruption of COVID-19 my A level predicted grades are AAA. I know firsthand how COVID has impacted students such as myself and can understand how to best adopt this approach.
Having been tutored myself since a young age I know how important it is to keep students engaged and interested. I use a variety of revision techniques tailored to each student’s needs. I am enthusiastic, and I strive to make learning enjoyable!
I am very passionate about my subjects and learning in general - I believe knowledge is a wonderful gift! I love helping people and seeing them grow in confidence and ability, so I give as much support as needed to all my students. Experience: I have been tutoring for about 2 years, teaching Maths, English, History, and business. My students have been from primary school to KS4. I also had the opportunity to be a tutor and be a mentor at my high school once I was in sixth form to younger students (7-11). I have experience integrating content and exam practice into my lessons and matching that pace to my student`s needs. I know how difficult it can be for students and have my lessons planned around their areas of weakness so that I can see the confidence peak through with my students as the lessons go on. I create presentations to aid my lessons and I always plan them meticulously. I write detailed reports after every lesson to ensure I can monitor progress. It is important to remember that success is relative so whatever goal or target my students want to achieve is my main priority. eg. strengthening an area of weakness or even attaining a certain grade.
