Information about Reena
Any strong believer that everyone can reach their true potential with the right support. Since 2015, I have been teaching Functional Skills maths and working as a South Glos Council tutor. I am also providing private tuitions to KS3 and KS4, Further maths, and Adult learners, including access maths to those seeking more support in their learning journey.
After finishing my master degree in mathematics and teacher training in India, I worked as a full-time secondary school teacher before moving to the UK. To upgrade my teaching skills, I did my teacher training DET in 2017 from Bath College.
My key strength is my ability to present mathematical concepts to my students in an engaging and challenging manner. My approach to teaching is dynamic and creative, which encourage students to discover more and allow them to be inquisitive using real life problems. Additionally, I have acquired transferable and technical skills, including good communication, logical ability, problem solving and attention to detail to meet the diverse needs of my learners. I am confident and competent to be responsible for teaching maths on a wide range and I am looking forward to new challenges.

Experience: I am working with South Gloucestershire Community Learning and Skill Services as a tutor since Dec 2015. I have also been giving private tuition in the evenings to student who need extra help with their maths or Further Math GCSE and A-level Math
I have taught GCSE Mathematics, in Bath College, to a group that has both foundation and higher tier students to meet the mandatory 100+ hours of teaching in the course. I undertook the entire teaching role for the group, including initial assessment, delivery, assessment, identifying the needs and providing support to learners. I shadowed my mentor in Level 3 (A-levels) mathematics classes for international students of Bath University (foundation degree). I support level 3 learners on a one to one basis to meet their individual needs.
I also voluntarily worked in the city of Bristol College and helped two maths teachers in level 2 and level 3 classes in the academic year 2015- 2016.
Before moving to the UK, I was a full-time secondary school teacher in India and taught from 2006 to 2008.
