I have taught English to all abilities and at all Key Stages for the past 15 years, enjoying promoting literacy and fostering a passion for reading and writing. I am also the English new teacher mentor for Gloucestershire through the charity Adfecto that supports schools.
English, as a subject, is tightly linked to so many life skills that I am passionate about all children finding something they love within reading and writing that turns English into an interest for life and something that they can always be confident with. An English grade should not get in the way of students pursuing their chosen career path.
£25/hour + 20p per mile for distance travelled, if over 5 miles.
Happy to travel if not too far, or have students come to me.

Availability: After school times Mon/Wed/Thur

Experience: Current Assistant Head of English Faculty in a large comprehensive, with 15 years of experience teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 and responsible for KS5 English Literature.
