I have been tutoring for 9 years and have had pupils go on to St. Olave`s, Newstead Wood, Bexley schools and Bromley High School (see below for full results).

At KS3 and GCSE, I have been able to improve students` grades from performing well below National Curriculum standards to exceeding their target grades. At GCSE, I have helped students to improve by 2 whole grade levels - from a C to an A.

I pride myself on an honest approach, a detailed knowledge of the local exams, and on working with parents and children to minimise stress during exam preparation.

I went to Newstead Wood myself and have a First Class Honours degree in Business Management from The London School of Economics.

My methods focus on assessing the needs of the individual child and personalising teaching not only to their academic knowledge, but also to their personal learning style and study preferences. This ensures that learning is fun, rewarding and enriching for the child.

My philosophy is to empower parents to help them to help their child as much as they can at home and also to empower children to study independently.

Tutoring takes place in small groups (no more than 4) that children are assigned to based on their individual academic requirements and personality. This enables children to develop their communication skills, vocabulary and emotional intelligence - both skills that are key in improving comprehension and English writing. These groups ensure every child gets the individual attention they need whilst also being encouraged to work independently for short periods.

Experience: 2015 students gained places at Olave`s, Newstead, Dartford Grammar, Bromley High and 7+ and 11+ scholarship offers from Eltham and Dulwich College. On average, my students scored 92% in the Kent 11+ exam.

My 2014 cohort had a 100% rate of success in the Bexley 11+ for students that had been attending my sessions for at least 6 months. Students also gained places at Newstead Wood and Kent and Medway grammar schools.

2013 students went on to Newstead, Olave`s, Chis & Sid and Tonbridge Grammar.

The majority of students attending lessons for general improvement have been moved up a group at school and also regularly achieve the top marks in their year group.

I have also written and published my own academic books and games for students that are specifically tailored to the local 11+ exams.
