I`m a passionate Chemistry teacher who loves working with young people to help them realise their potential in a difficult subject, witness their confidence grow and secure the results they need. Chemistry is a difficult subject to master for many students - I am very honest about this with my students at school who are beginning their GCSE or A-Level journey but I promise them as long as they are prepared to work with me, they can and will succeed. During tutoring, I promise to be patient, adaptable and to challenge so that you not only overcome existing misconceptions but can achieve the highest level of success possible.

Experience: Experienced teacher in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry; I`ve been a qualified teacher since 2019; I completed my training and began teaching during the Covid pandemic which was a huge challenge but is how I became proficient in online teaching; all lessons taught from home were live and I had to be creative in how to assess student understanding. The use of interactive whiteboards that students could write on, online quizzes and small group `break-out rooms` all allowed me ensure every student was making progress.

My A-Level classes at school are small which allows me to take on more of a tutor and less of a teacher role; I am aware of everyone`s strengths and weaknesses and have the space to suitably challenge everyone and ensure no one is left behind.

I hold revision sessions during lunches for Year 11 students and `performance review` sessions for any student who falls short of their target on an assessment so they can get back on track to success.

I taught piano lessons (offline) during university which was a real source of enjoyment and is probably what started my journey to becoming a teacher!
