I gained my QTS (qualifier teacher status) via a SCITT programme and my PGCert Education via Manchester Metropolitan University in June 2020. I graduated from Lancaster University with a 2:1 in BSc Chemistry in June 2019. I am a young, enthusiastic and determined teacher who is keen to help pupils self motivate, work hard and fulfil their potential. The pandemic has taken a toll on various aspects of our society and I want to be part of the change that will fill the gap that has developed during lockdown. Learners and teachers alike have felt the impact and strain of COVID on the education system. I want to provide my students with the help that they need to develop key skills and knowledge so they can fulfil their potential in their future.

I am passionate about Chemistry and as I took Biology as a minor subject during my first year at Lancaster University, I have a strong understanding of Biological Sciences.

I am young and enthusiastic which allows me to relate well with young people. This means I can build trusting relationships which makes the teaching and elanejnv experience more enjoyable. My kind, calm and reassuring presence which allows pupils to feel comfortable around me. This is of utmost importance because I know that pupils will not learn if they do not feel safe and comfortable in their leaning environment.

Education details:
I achieved 2A*, 5A, 2B at GCSE including English, Maths, Core Science and Additional Science.
I also achieved 3 B at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
I achieved a 2:1 in BSc Chemistry.
I achieved a merit pass in PGCert Education.

Availability: My availability is varied. I am free on weekends and weekday afternoon and evenings. I would be happy to accept alternative timings if they are suitable, so do not be afraid to offer a different time. I am also available to teach online via Teams or Zoom.

Experience: I have varied experience teaching in different schools with students of different cultural and socioeconomic background. This has made me very flexible and I recognise the importance of tailoring lessons to individual students.

I have also experience dealing with learners from a range of ages. My current work involved supporting and teaching students on the Foundation Course in a Medical School. The students range from those who have just finished A-Levels and those who have been out of education for many years. This has allowed me to develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
