I am passionate about achievement. I have recently taken early retirement from a post of Head of Science in a large comprehensive school where I spent 8 years entirely focused on the aim of getting students to pass exams with the highest grade possible.
You have worked too long and too hard not to get the reward you deserve in the exams at the end. It is really important to love our studies, but it is even more important to get the best possible grades in the exams to give us the best possible life chances.
My strategy is to help you realise what you already know, plug the gaps in your knowledge, link the different strands of knowledge together and finally learn to understand what the examiner is looking for so you can give them the answers they want to see.
You will leave the process more confident and better prepared.
My lessons draw on a variety of resources, but I mostly work from your own texts to avoid confusion.
There will be no commitment to continue sessions after the first one but the most effective use of tutoring is to agree a course of sessions so that we can put together a scheme of work and build towards your success.

DrJon has provided confidence in and understanding of topics in maths and sciences for my daughter. She often asks why her school teacher can`t teach as fun as Jon. Fully recommend as a tutor to anyone who needs guidance at this stressful time!
