Information about Claire

I have been teaching in Norfolk for the past 10 years and have taught at 3 Norfolk high schools in this time. I am happy to tutor in KS2, KS3 and GCSE maths as well as entrance exams and the UEA equivalency tests. I have previously specialised in students who are GCSE C/D boarderline students and have a good success rate for them obtaining the C grade (or higher) that they required. Usually all my tutees obtain the grades they need to get on their chosen college course and in many cases this is higher than their original predicted grades.

I have tutored several primary pupils to excel in ks2 Sats. One has now received an academic scholarship to a prestigious public school in the area. This was due to his maths and non verbal reasoning test which I also helped to tutor him in.

Several ex tutees have become friends and I pride myself on a high level of referred or `word of mouth` leads.

I am a primary school governor and as such I have a high understanding of the way primary schools work as well as secondary. I have been a previous chair of the finance committee of governors and governor in charge if primary to secondary numeracy.

I have also tutored two pupils who were taking their 11+ entrance exams for grammer schools, one passed and was offered a place and the second will be taking his entrance exam next year. I have most of the bond series Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning books as well as the maths books in the same range and I am happy to tutor in these as well. One ex pupil has been accepted at a prestigious local public school based on these results and he was also offered an academic scholarship.

I have also tutored PGCE students and other students that are required to pass GCSE equivalency exams or skills tests in order to take a degree or post grad course at UEA.

Claire is excellent and thorough. First session she established the weak points, working on those areas but still covering generally to refresh all aspects of maths. She is very encouraging and has a pleasant personality. I would highly recommend.
