I always had to be mentally present while also maintaining a resilient attitude due to the surgical procedures witnessed under the supervision of the respected Doctors and nurses.

Providing company to and building my rapport with the elderly at a care home has developed my understanding and communication skills. This has also made me realise the effects of certain diseases such as dementia. This has shown me the importance of time management as I has to turn up on time and the meals and medications also had set times. The care and the compassion by the staff for the elderly has highlighted the importance for humanity and connection with these patients.
