Hi! My name is Zoey and welcome to my tutoring account.

I’m a friendly and enthusiastic graduate based in Nottingham, UK.

I have studied English and History at undergraduate level and recently graduated from NTU with a Msc. Psychology degree.

I have experience working in alternative education since 2014, and have published research in Wiley’s Support for Learning Journal!

I am motivated to aid learners in achieving their full potential and that’s why I’m here!

I’m Enhanced DBS checked and have experience helping young people of all abilities.

Experience: I’ve worked in Alternative Education since 2014, mentoring and tutoring neurodiverse young people aged 8-19. I have experience in working with young people with varying diversities including but not limited to; ASD, ADHD, ADD, Tourette’s Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, TBIs, Selective Mutism, GLD, ODD, and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

I have recently completed my Master’s degree in Psychology, and have published research in Wiley’s Support for Learning Journal. My work explores how animal-assisted interventions enable overall well-being and facilitate support and learning in vulnerable young people.

I have special interests in Psychology, History and English, and am a reliable (and meticulous) proof-reader. I also have experience in mentoring young people in vocational areas of development, including Life Skills and supporting positive SEHM and SMSC.

I have obtained certifications in many areas as part of my career development. Certificates include; Advanced CBT Diploma; Level 2 qualifications in Safeguarding Young People, ADHD Awareness, Autism Awareness, Mental Wellbeing in Children and Young People, Preventing Bullying, Adverse Childhood Experiences; Prevent Online Training (Part One and Two); National Online Safety; GIRES Transgender Awareness.
