Hi, I`ve taught A level Psychology for almost 20 years now and worked as an A level examiner continuously since 2005. To do well in Psychology it`s important to have a good grasp of the subject but also to be well rehearsed in exam questions. Over the years that I`ve worked as an examiner I`ve seen all the mistakes that students typically make. Sometimes it`s weak subject knowledge, but often the issue is actually question technique. I can help with both of these to raise your grade and get you up to your target. My main focus has tended to be AQA A level Psychology (syllabus A), International Baccalaureate Psychology, AQA GCSE Psychology and Edexcel GCSE Psychology. Other syllabi are no problem.
My fee is £25 per hour and this will include work I do outside of the lesson such as preparation and marking so that contact time is used in the most effective way. It also covers any costs of travel within a 5 mile radius. I`m happy to work further afield for a slightly raised fee that covers travel costs (but don`t worry the car is returning 55 mpg, so this won`t be a significant cost).

Fabulous! Replied to request straight away and we set up a Psychology lesson for my Year 12 daughter. She`s very happy indeed as he uses his considerable experience as an examiner to improve her answer style. He quickly identified areas that need improving. Nice chap too.

Richard helped to build my confidence in psychology that I did not have before, especially when writing the longer, essay type questions. He helped to give me a good foundation in research methods that I could then apply to all the topics in the syllabus. His teaching was engaging and he really helped me focus on what I had to learn. Richard was very easy to get on with and I got the grade I needed. NB teaches best with a cup of tea...milk, no sugar.
