I am a 28 year old primary school teacher with a passion for helping children to achieve their full academic potential. I am fairly new to the Midlands but am enjoying living and working in Derbyshire - it is a sharp contrast to life in Essex which is where I grew up. I enjoy an active lifestyle and have many interests. Some of these include: attending exercise classes, cooking, healthy living, socialising with friends, reading, writing and tutoring on a 1:1 or small group basis.

I start my initial sessions by assessing a child`s ability in the chosen subject (or both English and Maths) and form a plan based on this along with discussions with the parents/carers. I pride myself in my ability to fill gaps in a child`s knowledge and develop confidence by using a range of personally tailored resources and approaches.

Availability: Weekdays after 5pm and weekends at any time.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I have 5 years experience in primary school teaching and have taught children from nursery age up to year 6. I have worked with a vast range of pupils, including those with specific learning difficulties and needs and children with English as an additional language. I am the maths coordinator at my current school and have a deep passion for this subject. I currently teach 30 children in year 3 and 4.

I have worked as a private tutor for many children and have a wealth of experience in this area as well as classroom teaching.
