I gained a Master’s degree in Physics at Oxford University, specializing in Semiconductors, Electronics and Geophysics.
My primary focus is Maths and Physics, providing tutoring for GCSE exams (years 10 & 11), AS and A levels (years 12 & 13). I can also help with Oxbridge entrance (i.e. PAT) and interview prep.
Every student is unique and I adapt my approach accordingly. In each case, I will assess the current situation and identify objectives and areas for improvement.
By developing a good working relationship with each student, I aim to improve their confidence through positive feedback and by tailoring the pace of each session to ensure a firm grounding in the subject matter without getting bogged down.
I use clear concepts, graphical illustrations, real world examples and some fun to maintain an active interest. Then I check understanding with guided practice and test questions, which I am happy to mark and review. I also offer coaching in effective revision and exam technique, ensuring that students can deliver their best in exam conditions.

Experience: Prior to becoming a tutor, I enjoyed a career in Information Technology. I worked in a variety of client facing roles and lived in the USA (5 years) and Germany (4 years) before returning to the UK with my family. My job included system demonstrations, technical presentations, software development and product training.
I have three grown up kids – a university professor, a doctor and a (soon to be) lawyer – so I can fully empathize with families who want to invest in tuition to help their children succeed.
