Information about Blazej
Hello! I`m Blazej, and I`m thrilled to introduce myself as your potential tutor.
I am a secondary school science teacher after completing my PGCE in Chemistry at UCLs Institute of Education, one of the leading institutions for teacher training, and I bring with me over 10 years of tutoring experience. I specialise in Chemistry and Biology, but also have a strong background in Maths and Psychology, having studied these extensively throughout my academic journey.
I hold a First-Class Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, where I was one of the top-performing students in my year. I received prestigious awards for academic excellence, and throughout my education, from GCSEs and A-levels to university, I consistently achieved top grades, including full UMS scores in many of my written exams. I also have experience of working in a research lab where I was co-author in a published paper in a scientific journal. This highlights my industry experience and understanding of the skills required to work in the industry.
In my years as a tutor, Ive helped students from a wide range of abilities and backgrounds succeed at GCSE and A-Level, across all major exam boards including AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. I also have experience in developing curriculum resources and assessment materials, which has further strengthened my ability to deliver structured, targeted, and high-impact lessons.
I have mentored students preparing for the Chemistry Olympiad, as well as those applying to competitive universities, including Oxbridge. I provide support with personal statements, interview preparation, and entrance exams, ensuring students are fully equipped and confident throughout the process.
What sets me apart is my dedication to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. As someone with ADHD, I understand the challenges some students face and tailor my lessons to be as accessible and motivating as possible. I value patience, encouragement, and adapting my approach to suit each learners unique needs, whether that means breaking down complex topics, building exam technique, or fostering confidence and resilience.
My teaching style is warm, flexible, and goal-oriented. Whether you`re aiming to boost your grades, build subject confidence, or pursue a place at a top university, Ill support you every step of the way with clear explanations, structured resources, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
Lets work together to help you achieve your academic goals!

Experience: I bring over 10 years of tutoring experience, alongside completing my PGCE in Chemistry at UCLs Institute of Education, where Ive developed a strong foundation in evidence-based, student-centred teaching. Ive worked with students of all abilities and learning styles, and I firmly believe that every individual processes and learns information differently. Thats why I tailor every session to the unique needs, goals, and learning preferences of each student, ensuring they develop both understanding and confidence.
I foster a positive, open learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and actively engaging with their learning. For me, education goes beyond memorising facts, its about building genuine understanding, critical thinking, and curiosity. I aim to make lessons as relevant, interactive, and engaging as possible, drawing not only on my academic knowledge but also on my real-world scientific experience. I have worked in a professional research lab and have published a scientific paper in a peer-reviewed journal, which allows me to connect classroom concepts with real scientific applications and bring science to life for my students.
In addition to my academic and research background, I have worked extensively with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with ADHD, autism, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. This has deepened my ability to adapt lessons, provide targeted support, and create an environment where all learners feel included and valued.nd valued.

I am extremely satisfied with Blazej. He was the tutor for my daughter preparing her for the GCSES Maths and Science. He practised with her regularly, was available to do more lessons in a week when requested and was patiently explaining things to her. He was also always well prepared using materials of a very good standard. I would highly recommend Blazej to everyone.

My son recently started weekly lessons with Blazej (about a month ago) and is very content to have Blazej as his tutor. Blazej can explain the subject very clearly, he is very friendly, patient and punctual, he does his best to accomodate any changes of a day/time of a lesson when nescesary and we apreaciate it very much.
