I am a fully qualified science teacher with several years of experience teaching Biology KS3 to A level. I completed my PGCE in Secondary Science (with QTS) at Edge Hill University in 2021. I have experience in effective teaching and learning strategies and am familiar with many common misconceptions and areas of difficulties that pupils may face.

My primary degree is a 2.1 in Zoology (hons) from the University of Liverpool, providing me with knowledge of a broad range of topics such as ecology, evolution, cell biology and anatomy to degree level.


I am very passionate about pupils improving and helping them achieve their goals through tutoring.

Availability: Availability all weekday evenings. Some weekend availability.

Experience: I have several years experience teaching all sciences to KS3 and biology from KS3 to A level.

I am experienced in tutoring, with much success in the past. I will guide tutees to identify and strengthen any areas of weakness or confusion they may have. The first tutoring session is free to assess what these areas are for the tutee. Following this I will construct a tailored programme for the individual comprising of a range of activities and ensuring that assessment for learning is employed to check that pupils understand the material. This will allow the pupil to be able to apply their knowledge and really optimise their potential in written assessments.

I am most familiar with the AQA exam board, but can ensure full familiarity prior to tutoring a different exam board.
