Information about Linda
I work at local schools as an English intervention tutor, special needs tutor, and alternative provision tutor. I also tutor privately. I have twenty-five years` experience tutoring all levels of English. I previously worked as a GCSE English examiner.
I also tutor all subjects at 11+ (including Maths and non-Verbal Reasoning). I have helped youngsters get into many top independent schools and grammar schools.
Special Needs
My special needs students are very dear to me. I have many years experience working with dyslexic, dyspraxic, ADHD, anxious, and high-functioning autistic students of all ages. I have also worked with very sick children.
Adult learners
I am experienced with the needs of adult learners who may want to brush up on grammar, improve writing techniques, or who may want to make up for lost time when in the school system.
Availability: I am available during the day, evenings, and on Saturdays.

Experience: My English students always improve their grades at GCSE and A-level.
I have a great success rate for 11+ and 13+. (Maths and non-VR covered.)
Common Entrance students have passed entrance exams at Wycombe Abbey, HABS, North London Collegiate, Merchant Taylor`s, St Alban`s School for Girls, St Alban`s School for Boys, Berkhamstead, City of London.
I write professionally, both fiction and non-fiction. I have a background in journalism.

Linda is a brilliant tutor. She is extremely knowledgeable about the 11+ process and test content. I am particularly impressed with the variety of online tools she uses to make remote tutoring as successful as in-person. She has a very calm way about her and is very encouraging but also stretches and challenges my daughter to go further. We`re delighted with the progress our daughter has made in just a few weeks.

We approached Linda about 6 months before the GCSE exams. Within 1st month, our Son showed huge improvement in his English class tests and mock exams. He loved her teaching and honest feedback, which really helped him get very good grades in his English GCSE.
