I am a qualified further education lecturer and an award winning film maker and screen writer. Currently I run a production company specialising in the pre and post production of feature length films and documentaries. I have over 15 years of experience within the film industry, as well as editing, cinematography and directing. For the last 5 years I have been teaching at South & City College Birmingham where my specialist teaching subjects were Creative Media, Photography, and teach HE modules in visual imagery. Whilst teaching I completed my PCET Teaching Diploma with a Merit at BCU.
Previous to teaching I studied a HND in Creative Media. In my final year, a film I made was selected at numerous film festivals. This film went on to win Best Feature Length Film at the Rome Prisma Film Awards Festival. It was also nominated for Best First Time Filmmaker at a prestigious Midlands film festival.

I am a highly creative individual, and love to bring the creative process into my lessons. My philosophy on teaching is to allow learners to gain knowledge through action and evaluation. Guiding learners through the process of application is a method I employ in the classroom. This allows learners to think for themselves, reflecting on their study and looking for ways to improve. I also give students the freedom to question conventions and to be innovative in their process of learning. I like to act as a support rather than a `my way or highway` type of tutor.

Experience: As well as being a media, film and photography tutor for the last 5 years. I have written 9 feature length screenplays two of which have been produced (one is currently being filmed in the UK), and a handful of short films. I have extensive experience in writing and producing and am always looking for ways in which to create original ideas both on screen and on paper. I am proficient in many aspects of film making from the writing phase to pre production, and production right through to editing. Currently I am working on a docu-series to be presented online, and a feature length film. I have over 15 years of editing on Adobe Premier Pro and have edited numerous films and documentaries.
