I`m a friendly, patient tutor, specialising in Maths and creative writing.

I know that Maths can be a frustration for some students, but I strongly believe that with the right approach everyone is capable of doing well - it`s just a matter of taking time to tailor the teaching to fit the student.

I received a matriculation offer to read Philosophy at Christ`s College, Cambridge (these offers were made to the top 1/3 of successful applicants, with an entry requirement of EE at A level). In 2011 I qualified for a fourth-year course in Management Studies, at the university`s Judge Business School.

After graduation I worked as a business consultant at IBM, and then as Development Coordinator at Children & the Arts - a charity dedicated to providing arts experiences for disadvantaged children and those with life limiting illnesses.

Since 2018 I have worked at a primary school in Walthamstow, first as a teaching assistant and now as a teacher

Experience: I have experience as a primary school teacher in both KS1 and KS2, as well as working 1-to-1 with children with SEND.

I have also worked as a private tutor, providing support for the 11 plus, Mathematics at GCSE and A level, personal statement writing and university applications (specifically for Cambridge).

While at IBM I benefited from training sessions on mentoring, effective communication and the provision of constructive feedback. Applying these skills to tuition helps me keep both tutees and parents informed on progress and areas for improvement.
