Information about Rachel
Having taught as a qualified teacher in a top Prep school for over 15 years, I am now working as a freelance tutor of French, English and Maths. I have taught French to all ages, from Primary through to Secondary and beyond, but I also support children in Maths and English from KS1 to KS3. Although I was born in the UK, I have lived and worked in various parts of France, and have a second home in Alsace. I have dual nationality, my husband is French and our three children are bilingual. Now that they have now flown the nest, I have more time to devote to others. I love teaching, and really enjoy helping my students find success in their learning.
Availability: I am fairly flexible with regard to availability but I now only teach online.

Experience: As a French specialist, I have worked in schools preparing pupils for French exams for over fifteen years. I have taught in Adult Education, writing and delivering courses to groups of adults, from beginner to advanced level, and at the other end of the spectrum, have also taught pupils as young as five their first words of French. I currently enjoy supporting students with specific learning difficulties, particularly in Maths and English. Given my experience, I am happy to teach learners of all ages.

A really positive experience for our Year 6 child. He loved his weekly tutoring session with Rachel and we have seen the impact come back into school. Rachel has communicated with all throughout the tutoring experience and kept us up to date with what has been covered and next steps. Thank you.
