I am a Maths graduate and fully qualified Maths teacher, currently working as Second in Maths and Head of Year 8 at an independent girls` school in North West London. I entered the teaching profession nearly five years ago (training at Dr Challoner`s Grammar School in Amersham) after a twenty year career in the City as a bond trader. I am also a qualified cricket coach, and coached boys and girls actively at Ealing Cricket Club for the nine years.

I tutor from our family home in central Ealing, close to Ealing Broadway station with its extensive bus, tube and rail links. Weekend and evening parking is available. My hourly rates are as per my profile.

I offer individual tuition for students in years 7-13, focussing on enhancing strengths and building confidence in subject areas which students find more challenging. I can help identify areas of need or tailor sessions to meet specific needs as identified by clients themselves.

B.Sc in Mathematics (University of Warwick)
M.A. in Sport, Culture and Society (University of Warwick)
M.Sc. in international Securities, Investment and Banking (University of Reading)
Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance (University of Manchester/International Compliance Association)

A levels: Mathematics (A), Further Mathematics (A), Chemistry (A), Economics (A)
S levels: Mathematics (1), Further Mathematics (2)

Availability: General availability - Friday evenings, weekends (very limited), school holidays.

Experience: Prior to my current role, I trained and worked at Dr Challoner`s Grammar School in Amersham, a selective state school. I also gained experience of working in non-selective environments during my training. I have experience of tutoring to GCSE and A level, and of working with clients from both state and independent sectors. In addition to my professional experience, I have two school-age children (Yrs 10 and 13) and so have experience of maths provision and the maths curriculum from a parental point of view as well.

No two students are the same, and I feel I offer a personalised approach that enhances individual strengths whilst also building confidence in subject areas which a student may find more challenging. Am happy to advise on focus subject areas or follow needs as identified by clients themselves.
