Reference for Mrs F
Mrs F has worked in the science department on a regular basis, covering teacher absence. She has built good relationships with staff and students and worked closely with support staff.

Although cover work is usually set for these lessons Mrs F has always been creative in the delivery and always had the students engaged.

She has produced activities for them which are original and interesting and, with Mrs Fs consent, I have demonstrated to colleagues throughout the local authority and at national events.

I highly recommend Ms F as a Supply Teacher for Key Stage 2,3 and 4 as I have worked with Ms in my position as Assistant Head /Director of MFL Specialism at Almondbury Community School, Huddersfield.

Ms F provides Supply at numerous schools within the Kirklees District and teaches various subjects including French, English, Maths and Science. Ms F has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages. Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. She has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, reliable and computer literate. Ms F can work independently and is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done. She accomplishes these tasks with great initiative and with a very positive attitude with shows with the results that the children achieve.

I recommend Ms F to you without reservation and wish her every success with her business venture, Education Planet.

Yours sincerely,

Richard

Film Location Manager

Personal Reference: Mrs F
I recently met Mrs F on a film project, filming in the North of England, where I was the Location Manager.

Mrs F was employed as the tutor for one of the child actors and over a 2 week period, I have to say how much of an impression she made in her conduct and general caring in her role.

She went about the role in a thoughtful and kind manner aswell as making his learning fun. The young boy was clearly happy at all times with Mrs F and very comfortable in her company. I noticed that whenever he left the set after his little piece of acting, he always headed straight to Mrs F to chat about what he had done and how he felt about it. I guess that is the ultimate endorsement for her.

I personally spent time with Mrs and feel that she could have a very successful career in the media industry helping children with their learning and in fact have been actively encouraging her to do so.

I will continue to support Mrs F within the industry as I know how important it is for young children who are on set to be made as comfortable as possible and she excels at this.

Experience: I have found that they way that you speak to students has an effect on how they react, for example shouting at students will not make matters better reasoning and compromise is better. My PTLLS course has given me the qualification to teach and I have found new ways of engaging learners, I use more group based and activity work rather than focussing just on individual work, I have found that discussion promotes an enjoyable learning atmosphere where all learners tend to participate and voice their own thoughts and ideas. I feel that both qualifications are relevant to the post of a Tutor as effective management skills are required along with good IT and organisational skills and the ability to liaise with students and external bodies. The need to be able to work alongside regular Teachers who sometimes have a lesson plan in place is essential and therefore my own teaching and tutoring skills will be invaluable. I am able to adapt lessons and teaching methods depending on results obtained, which promotes effective results and suits the needs of my learners. Feedback is an important part of effective teaching have the students understood what I have taught? Finding out through self assessment things enjoyed, not enjoyed and improvements to be made, is a good way for me to focus on my teaching methods and a way of improvement for myself. Feedback from students enables me to identify the best points of a lesson or event and focus on that area, and to improve and make more enjoyable points that showed the least satisfaction. Good planning techniques along with continuous assessment and evaluation all form part of the teaching cycle.

Equality and diversity promotes equal opportunity for all therefore I give every learner the chance to achieve their potential without prejudice and discrimination. Where race, gender and sexual orientation matters are concerned diversity guidelines state that it is unlawful to harass, victimise or discriminate against a person and procedures are usually set by educational establishments and applied by myself to eliminate discrimination and good relations. I do follow Government Acts for example The Equality Act of 2011 whereby one should be treated according to their individual needs should a student be in a wheelchair, accessibility should be made by the school/college/university to ensure that the person has the same level of education and care as other able bodied students. I understand that there is a need to know who your students are and employ their needs as individuals. It is imperative that one must treat all students as individuals with unique strengths, weaknesses, and needs rather than as generalized representatives of particular racial, ethnic or cultural groups. Higher education schools and colleges are becoming increasingly diverse and an understanding of the diverse needs of students from different cultures, backgrounds and educational environments vary as each student learns in distinctly different ways therefore the ability to meet these needs is essential.

I have been tutoring English Language, IELTS, ESOL, Mathematics and other National Curriculum subjects, Key stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well higher education subjects (age 16years +) and adult learners for nearly 20 years.

She’s just what my daughter and nephew needed to see them through their Eleven plus exam. She goes out of her way to provide a progress report after every lesson. I have and will continue to highly recommend Ameeta as a one to one tutor for your child.

Ameeta is superb with my boy. She engages him at his level and incorporates his strengths and interests into the tasks they cover. He looks forward to their sessions and never complains about the homework because he’s already bought into doing it.
Highly recommended.

Ameeta is a wonderful tutor. She formed an immediate rapport with my 12 year old son, who has finally started to enjoy learning. He looks forward to her lessons and I`ve already seen an improvement in his standard of English after only 1 month.
