I have been a tutor for 7 years now and I dearly miss helping my tutees and watching their confidence grow in English.

I am an enthusiastic teacher who loves to support, challenge and break glass ceilings with the young people I teach.

My patient yet demanding attitude allows the child I teach to feel a sense of pride in their abilities, regardless of where they are on the spectrum.

As everyone is different, I feel the need to individualise work for the tutee so that they are more engaged and are able to make quicker progress than by using standard worksheets. Along with individualising work and creating a booklet, my passion and optimism shines through and you will notice a difference within your child when it comes to English.

Regardless of whether your child is sitting the 11+ or not, there are plenty of skills to be gained by completing the 21 different types of questions. It has been designed so that you are able to help your child understand the different types and/or also to allow them to work independently. Give it a go and help your child succeed.

Experience: My passion with the tutees can`t helped but be shared, especially when they both amaze and are amazed by their analysing skills.

I have worked around the country in both mainstream and Grammar schools. I`ve seen how a school functions as a permanent member of staff and as a supply teacher.

There are many exam boards that I have worked with, ranging from: AQA, WJEC, Edexel and OCR. My experience in teaching is in KS3, 4 and 5. I also have experience working with Primary level pupils and SEN children.

I have tutored many students sitting the 11+ exams both in Verbal Reasoning, Non- Verbal Reasoning and Comprehension tests. In addition to this, I have also published `The How to Guide to Verbal Reasoning` which is available directly from me or Amazon.

My experience over the years has allowed me to access where a child needs help and directly target those area of development. I enjoy sharing the progress with: tutees, parents and schools alike because I truly believe we need to work as a unit in order for a young person to succeed. Seeing a child become confident and progress makes my job worthwhile and reminds me why I came into teaching.
