Psychology is my passion, I am an experienced and enthusiastic A level Psychology teacher who has been teaching for 10 years.

I have a BSc Hons in Psychology, and a a post-graduate certificate in Education (PGCE) with a Distinction from Manchester Metropolitan University. I have been a senior examiner for the OCR exam board for over eight years and I work closely with this particular exam board as a trainer for teachers and resource developer also.

In my sessions I aim to foster an enjoyment of the subject as well as focusing on high quality exam technique and skills in order for my students to achieve the best exam results.

I provide personalised learning materials for each lesson, which pupils can use to complement their class notes and incorporate into their revision. Students always comment that they find my notes very useful, as they include activities and practice exam questions.

I help pupils to fine-tune their essay writing skills, develop their skills of evaluation and practice application of knowledge. I aim to promote confidence and self-belief through improved performance and mastery of psychological concepts and skills. As a senior examiner for the OCR exam board, I am highly knowledgeable of the spec requirement for OCR and can focus students more effectively on how to achieve the best written response to exam questions.

Availability: Tuesday 9.30-2.30pm

Wednesday 9.30am-2.30pm

Fridays 9.30am-2.30pm

Various evenings and weekends (differs weekly).

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Over 10 years teaching experience, including head of department roles.
Experienced team leader examiner for the OCR exam board for over eight years.
