Psychology is my passion, and I am a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic A-Level Psychology teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Distinction from Manchester Metropolitan University. In addition to my teaching role, I have been a Senior Examiner for the OCR exam board for over eight years, working closely as a teacher trainer and resource developer to support educators in delivering high-quality psychology instruction.
My teaching approach emphasises engagement, exam success, and mastery of psychological concepts. I provide personalised learning materials tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring they can integrate these resources into their revision effectively. Students frequently highlight the value of my comprehensive notes, structured activities, and exam-focused practice questions in strengthening their understanding and application of knowledge.
I specialise in enhancing exam technique, essay writing, and critical evaluation skills, helping students refine their responses to meet OCR’s specification requirements. Through my expertise as a Senior Examiner, I offer insider knowledge on how to structure high-scoring answers, equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their exams.
My goal is to inspire a love for psychology while fostering academic excellence, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential with a deep understanding of the subject and the ability to apply it effectively.
Availability: Monday to Friday 9.30am-2.30pm
Various evenings and weekends (differs weekly).
Willing to travel: 5 miles

I started having tutoring with Kirsty after not doing too well in my first time sitting my alevels. Since starting tutoring with her, she has helped me in not only my confidence but has also helped me make significant improvements in my exam technique, knowledge and skills in Psychology.
