Information about Kasia

Hello my name is Kasia,

As a young, enthusiastic and engaging tutor with 6 years tuition experience, I hope to be the person to help improve your/your child`s weaker areas, build confidence levels, pass upcoming exams or provide the opportunity to stretch an able, passionate learner.

I am a student doctor at The University of Birmingham, going into my third year of study.

3 years ago, I took a gap year during which I worked as a homeschooling tutor at Bright Young Things during the day and offered private tuition in the evenings and at the weekend to 22 students one-to-one, and to one group. Since then, I have continued tutoring students throughout the year alongside my university studies and medical placements. I have 2 additional years of experience providing one-to-one maths and science tuition, as well as teaching classes in Cambodia and Ghana, prior to my gap year.

I achieved straight A*`s at GCSE and A*AA in Biology, Chemistry & Maths at A-Level.
I greatly enjoyed my 3 A-Level subjects and would love to be able to share my passion for them with you/your child whether you/they are at primary, secondary, GCSE or AS level. I teach Maths and Physics up to and including GCSE Level, and Biology and Chemistry up to and including AS level.

I am very aware of the changes taking place to GCSE and A-Level examinations and syllabuses. I am of course able to cater to these and will help guide you/your child through these often confusing and difficult changes.

After getting to know you/your child I would cater to your/their needs and adjust my teaching style accordingly to suit you/them best. I have found it most effective to teach with the aim of instilling a deep understanding of the topic at hand in the learner. True learning requires understanding, not just memorisation. I believe it is this concept that has been the key to my own, and my learners` success.

If you are interested in being tutored by me, as a one-off or on a regular basis, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have both online, and in-person students.

Thanks!

Kasia :)

* Medical School Entry advice/practice sessions
On my first application to Medical School, I received offers from all 4 Medical Schools I applied to. I believe this was due to my hard work and preparation leading up to interviews, the UKCAT and knowing how best to write my personal statement. If you or your son/daughter is planning on applying to Medical School, I would absolutely love to help them to achieve this fantastic goal. Do please contact me if you would like to find out more about what I offer, or if you`d just like some advice from someone whose managed to tackle the giant hurdle of Medical School Applications with success.

Availability: Please send me a message to discuss, thank you!
