I have a pastoral disposition. I am a primary school supply teacher, teaching year 1 to year 6, including phonics, and my specialism is maths. I have also had good results in school, motivating children to write and developing their handwriting. In addition, I have many years experience working with children with SEND in the primary school setting. As well as teaching so that all children make progress, some of my strengths are in boosting children’s self-confidence, developing their independence and also good communication with parent/carers. Teaching is my third career. Prior to teaching, I worked in design and advertising, and then as a nutritionist. After having my twins, I progressed to a career in teaching, and I really enjoy making learning interesting for children.

Experience: I am new to tutoring 1:1 and Tutorhunt.
I have 5 years teaching experience in primary, and prior to that, 5 years experience as a class learning support assistant and cover teacher. I have been responsible for interventions for children across the entire primary age range, and with a wide variety of need, for interventions in maths, english and phonics. In addition, I have also been responsible for taking breakout groups of the more able year 6 children for maths extension work.
