I am currently a vascular physiologist within the NHS therefore, have an in-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology as well as ultrasound physics.

I have previously taught secondary science (biology, chemistry and physics). I am up to date on new teaching approaches and ways to promote and encourage effective learning, having recently completed a PGCE with a distinction.
Having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 in biology, I have a sound understanding of biology and scientific methods. Furthermore, I have completed various jobs/work experience within the healthcare sector, pharmaceuticals, and research laboratories. This has provided me with a broad range of knowledge of how employment can link to science, which can be incorporated to help motivate students.
Finally, I have tutored online and in-person for around 6 years. During this time I have been able to develop my approach to teaching in this setting. Through teaching a variety of students of varying ages and abilities, I have tailored sessions to the individual and have seen results due to this.

Availability: At present, I am available for online tutoring on weekdays from 5:30 pm onwards.

Experience: I have been a private tutor for over 6 years alongside other roles, tutoring maths and biology up to GCSE level. At present, I am a vascular physiologist within the NHS and have recently completed a post-graduate degree in Medical Ultrasound, specialising in Vascular Ultrasound.

In 2020, graduated from The University of Nottingham with a PGCE in secondary science education with a distinction. This enabled me to develop an understanding of the process of learning and the different approaches that should be considered in order to create an effective learning environment.

My undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Nottingham has provided me with extensive knowledge in the subject area.

Additional experience includes: working as a pharmacy assistant and work experience alongside cardiac rehabilitation nurses, laboratory technicians, and as a laboratory assistant. The experience I have had outside of academia has given me a great understanding of how science and maths can be applied to career paths that may be incorporated in the tutoring sessions. I am currently, completing a PGCE course in secondary education, specialising in science, therefore, I have up-to-date knowledge on how to engage students and approach learning to maximise their education.
