Information about Matthew
I have been teaching maths in secondary schools for 3 years now, working with students aged 11-16 of all abilities. I always strive to build a strong rapport with my students as I believe that this is essential for them to achieve their best learning.
In my teaching I take a positive and patient approach which is always based on understanding rather than remembering. This has consistently helped my students improve their grades whilst also teaching them a logical way of thinking which I believe will help them in other subjects as well.
Availability: Flexible and can do any weekday evening apart from Wednesday.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been a maths tutor for 7 different students ranging in age from 5 to 17 over the last 4 years. I have helped them all to improve their confidence and have helped many to make improvements in their grades too.
In my teaching career I have taught all year groups and a wide range of abilities at secondary level. I have also helped with several extra curricular activities at school such as DofE, sports clubs and revision clubs.

Matt is tutoring my 13 year old son (who is dyslexic) in Physics / Maths. Matt has built up a good rapport with my son, so he is happy to have a tutor lesson and has said that it feels like the time passes quickly. Always a good sign that he is engaged and learning.
Tutors Response :
