I am a sincere and organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills. I am also bilingual which is useful for when working with different communities. I am self-motivated, have taught in further education for 5 years and completed my PGCE at the University of Warwick, specialising in English. I have experience of teaching English as well as Psychology covering KS3, KS4 as well as A level Psychology.

Experience: Over the past five years I have been working as a teacher, I have had the valuable opportunity to teach students at various education establishments. My duties and responsibilities included delivering lessons to different classes consisting of students from various backgrounds and ages. As class times varied, I had to manage my time appropriately and effectively which is extremely important when handling a large workload. Having taught in both Secondary School’s as well as further education, I am able to tailor my teaching style to suit the needs of my learners. Furthermore, I am fully committed to safeguarding and supporting students that have SEN and strive to ensure their needs are being met.

Moreover, I have experience in Pastoral care. Having undertaken the role of a student support leader at Ark Boulton Academy, my duties and responsibilities have been broad, including the management of year 8 in terms of their attendance, learning and behaviour. I was working closely with 180+ students and responding to any problems that were arising during the day. Within three months of working at Ark Boulton, I was given additional responsibility of overseeing attendance of the whole school. The SLT felt that I was the most suitable and competent person to carry out this job role effectively. This not only demonstrates that I am a fast learner, but that I am confident and able to manage several jobs simultaneously. This demonstrates my versatility and will be helpful when developing relationships with students as well as peers. Alongside carrying out this job role, I was also volunteering at Childline NSPCC as a counsellor. Undergoing three months of intense training as well as fulfilling my full-time job role was challenging however, it is a testament to the commitment I have towards supporting young people.
