Having just 122 pupils, Chalfont Valley E-ACT Primary Academy is in the lowest category of attending students in the UK. Having almost an equal mix of male and female pupils, they have 54.1% girls and 45.9% boys. Absence management in partnership with parents is encouraged by both schools and government at local and national level. With a 95% attendance rate, the attendance is below national average. Having only 4 members of staff makes the school have a far lower number of staff than most other schools in the area. They have a 30:1 teacher/pupil ratio, which is certainly high nationally, and means that means that class sizes are very high.

KS2 offers all parties, including government, parents, school teachers and Ofstead, the opportunity to reliably assess the academic attainment of pupils in their final year of primary school. Chalfont Valley E-ACT Primary Academy achieved an impressive average KS2 score of 100, which far exceeds the national average. The teachers at This School have an average salary of £37338 , significantly below the countrywide average. Only 82.1% of pupils speak English as a 1st language in the school, a proportion much lower than the countries average figure.

Ofsted

About Ofsted

Ofsted have been inspecting schools on a regular basis since 2005. After a cursory warning period they undertake a thorough examination of the whole school. Inspectors will sit in on classes, assessing each teacher's teaching ability. They will also evaluate the way the current curriculum is implemented, and how the progress of each student is tracked throughout their tenure.

Each school is graded on a four point scale: 1 being outstanding, 2 being good, 3 means they require improvement, and 4 signifying inadequate. Those schools attaining an outstanding or good grade might not be re-inspected for as long as five years; while those receiving lower grades will be reassessed with greater frequency, with little or no notice prior to the inspectors arriving.
