The most commonly used word is «Duh». Sometimes we say it just once; sometimes we say it three times in a row - «Duh-duh-duh». What`s the difference? Read and see.

For example, someone asks you: `Do you have a FB account?` and you answer them «Duh». Or `Did you pay for the internet?` you answer «Duh». Or `Do you have black jeans?` and you say «Duh». So as you see, all these examples are just positive answers to questions. When you want to give a positive answer to a question, you just say «Duh».

So when do we say «Duh-duh-duh»? We say it three times when we want to say that we agree with the statement (we are not answering a question!). For example, someone says `Damn, I am cold at nights!` and you may reply «Duh-duh-duh» which would mean `Yeah, you are damn right, I am cold too`. Another example. There are three people in the room. Alex asks Nina `By the way, when did you buy your car?` And the third one, Nick, says «Duh-duh-duh» which in this case means `I agree with the question, wanted to ask it myself`.

So that`s it! Now you know how to say `yes` in Russian and that `yes-yes-yes` does not necessarily mean simply `yes`! Enjoy!
