Transcendental number is a number which is real and not algebraic.
They are Real- because the whole kingdom of numbers is called the set of real numbers.
They are Not algebraic- because you can not get to this numbers by using five basic operations of algebra: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and root extraction.
They are Transcendental - because in order to obtain them you need to transcend these five basic operations.
How to get to this numbers? What are they? How many of them are there? Do they really exist? Study mathematics and you will find out!
Every piece of mathematics is understandable. But in order to understand it you need two things - good and simple explanation and the willingness to understand!
