I have a very wide experience of teaching in many disciplines such as solo, chamber and orchestral ensembles. My own learning was supplemented with a mixture of the classical tradition and the Suzuki method, which gives me experience in working with large groups as well as more intimate ensembles. As a freelancing musician I am well versed in many facets of musical performance but my main role is as violin in the Alauda Quartet. The quartet is actively performing around Europe including tours of Germany, Spain and Italy and has an upcoming tour to China.

Alongside our performing roles we take music education very seriously. We have been awarded a Junior Fellowship in Chamber Music at the Royal Academy of Music, which involves tutoring chamber ensembles at the conservatoire with a special responsibility towards first year students. We have also been appointed Young Professional String Quartet in Residence at Pro Corda where we have already given master-classes on their summer courses. My experience through the quartet has given me a love of tutoring chamber music and is something I would like to pursue in a teaching position.

If you are seeking a musician and teacher to motivate and develop your kids skills, musicianship and enthusiasms, my deep interest in teaching and musical experience to date will, I hope, allow me to realize those ambitions. I have been fortunate enough to have received a wonderful musical education and would love this opportunity to help inspire others.

I hope that my enthusiasm, love of music and desire to help all students fulfil their musical aspirations is something you are looking for your child. My sensitive, pro-active teaching will help all students to succeed at their own pace.
