It`s a question I have asked myself several times as I learn more and more snippets of different languages.

Knowing several languages can diversify your entire life in a blink of an eye. Learning a language becomes the first gateway to a different culture, which can in fact scare a lot of people. They like the way things are and do not wish them to be changed, yet they will try to learn a language.

You will only truly learn a language when you submit to it and no longer wrestle with it over conjugated verbs and silent letters. You can`t think in your own language and translate it into another. Trust me, your head will implode. You have to think the language and speak it. Otherwise it`s just a memory game.

Listen to some music, try some food, talk to people, ask awkward questions, why do the French kiss one another on the cheek and why does it vary from North to South?

I was born and lived in France for 9 years. I am now 22 and living in England and I can still speak both languages fluently.

I wish to tutor mature students through discussions and various planned activities that will hopefully show them that French may be one of the toughest languages to learn but once you have it.

You will be unstoppable. Take it from a French Englishman.
