Your son or daughter`s results have just come in and despite all of their hard work they haven`t achieved the grades they would like or they have done quite well and you feel they need a little bit of extra support to achieve their full potiential. At this point you think it may be worth looking for a tutor and this is a wise thought as long as the appropriate tutor is then chosen.

What do I mean by appropriate? Well, first of all they need to have a degree in the related subject. This ensures they are a qualified specialist or expert in their field as they will be guiding your son or daughter future progress. Sencondly, do they understand the required specification for your child`s subject? If you can find a tutor that is also a teacher of the subject, you can ensure they can pass on vital knowledge such as examination technique specific for the subject, will have access to appropriate past papers and will of course know how to communicate with students and act professionally. A teacher will have a current CRB check also. They will be able to apply different learning methods needed to succeed or improve in the required subject. They will also know how to ensure all the knowledge and skills of the subject`s specification are covered. The more years experience they have as a teacher the more techniques, skills and expert guidance they will be able to apply.

So to summarise look for a tutor who has a degree in the required subject and choose a tutor who has many years experience teaching in the subject as they will have up-to-date information on any specification changes and will give appropriate guidance that will be specific for the knowledge and skills required within the subject.

With the RIGHT tutor, you WILL get VALUE for MONEY!!!
