It has been a very, very long time since I`ve picked up a book, judged it by its cover, and fallen completely in love. Not just in love with the characters, but with the time, the place, the circus. The Night Circus was definitely one of those books.

I`m a lover of books. I always have been, and always will be. Generally, I try to stick to the Classics or books I`ve heard are `must reads` from friends. However, now and again I`ll simply choose a book because of its cover, and it was only in doing this, that I decided to read Erin Morgenstern`s The Night Circus. I had of heard it in a passing conversation with a friend during the Summer, but, it wasn`t until I was browsing through some `Bestsellers` online that I saw the cover, and bought it on a whim.

I had absolutely no idea what to expect, but after I had read the first line, I was hooked. How could I not be... "The circus arrives without warning." I could feel the anticipation and curiosity awakening in me. I could see the tents towering above me, and smell the delicious caramel apples and popcorn. Like I said, I was hooked. Morgenstern created a world so vivid and bright, that you to get scooped, and carried away by the intertwining stories and lives of her magical characters. She guides you into the heart of the circus, and lets you experience its intimate details and intricacies in your own time. Her characters are diverse and charming, each with their own story to tell.

The Night Circus is one of those books you don`t want to finish. You find yourself slowing down your reading pace, just to have another night in the circus. You don`t want to put it down, but at the same time, you don`t want to finish it. Having finished it this evening, I already miss the characters. I know this is one of those books that I will recommend to all my friends, and will come back to time after time, for more night at the circus.
