For KS3 learners, Basic Skills would include Timestables, Presentation, Reading & Writing, Spelling and Memory Test.
For an Engineer, Basic Skills would include General Chemistry & Physics, Linear Algebra, Equaltions, Quantities and Technical Writing.
For a lawyer, Basic Skills would include Reading + Comprehension, Critical Thinking, Active Listening and Learning Strategies.
For an Adult Learner, this may include Internet Access, Resource Management, Finance & Budgeting, Communication and Work/Life balance.
For a Degree & an A-Level Learner, Key Skills would most likely include a mixture of Taking Lecture Notes, Brainstorming ideas, Organisation, Prioritising, Essay structure, Assignment Completion, Referencing, Evidence based and Time Management.
Whoever you are, whereever you maybe in whatever field, You would most definitely need to know, understand and practice Basic Skills in order to move ahead.
A Driver should Know, Understand and be Competent in Gear Box, Clutch Control, Steering and Brake System in order to progress safely in his/her car.
