Introduction

My name`s Patrick. I`m a Freelance Tutor and I look forward to working with you. Originally from Dublin, I currently live in the North Down area where I work part-time in a people-facing business. I favour an informal learner-centred working style, identifying and focussing on the individual learner`s educational needs and life goals. I hold a Master`s Degree in Creative Writing, a BA (Hons) in English and Sociology, both from Manchester Metropolitan University, the Trinity Certificate in TESOL from Manchester City College and the PTLLS Certificate from Stockport FE College, England. Previously, I have taught GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature, and TEFL, in 6th Form and FE sectors in the UK; TEFL, Literacy and Numeracy in Adult Education and community settings to classes, small groups and one-to-one intensive tutoring. I am qualified, experienced and available to tutor in all subjects mentioned above and, in addition, am willing to tutor in reading, writing, exam and study skills to Degree Level as well as History, Irish and French to GCSE Level. I continue to enjoy reading, writing, walking, sports, church and community activities in my spare time.
