11+ Tuition

I offer 11+ tuition and have been successful in getting students into the selective schools in Torbay. I have a thorough understanding of what is required of the students in the English and Maths paper, and I am able to teach the 21 different questions types needed for the Verbal Reasoning paper.

I have a wealth of past papers, practice papers and my own papers to enable students to practice their exam technique during the course of tuition. These are usually done as homework. During 1:1 lessons, I focus on purely teaching and assessing, so that we are continuely finding the strong and weak spots of their working knowledge. I have found that this technique has excellent results.

I advise that tuition starts no later than January in year 5, in order to be successful and that starting tuition in the summer term of year 4 is advisable. There is a lot of content to be learnt, and they are still so young that it can take a while for the masses of information they have to know to sink in.
