Learning a new language can not be a hassle-free activity. It needs lots of practice and patience. However, there are four main skills for any language learner that he would need to acquire. These skills are listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore, it is very important that you pay attention to the speakers of that specific language. Try your best to recognise its words to build up a collection of words, which you would need to speak that language. Listen to people in the street who speak the informal form of your target language, and to people on TV who speak a formal language. All other skills are dependant on the listening skill, so be a good active listener. Your next step would be start to use the words you`ve learnt in speaking. Never mind if you make mistakes, as people know that you are from a different place and you are speaking a different language. Practice makes perfect, so keep practicing until you reach your target.

Last of all, as an Arabic Teacher I would recommend that learning Arabic is a try worth taking into account. I encourage Arabic learners to always take the first steps towards achieving their targets, and never give up until they become fluent and fully capable in the language. Arabic is a wonderful language worth acquiring.
