Pr-history In The Artistical View

First of all i would like you to know why we call that age the pre-history. Pre-history is before the invention of writing, history is after the invention of writing. What kind of art do we have in the pre-history and it`s meaning? The venus of willendorf was a goddess that meant fertility for it`s round forms and abundant of shapes. We all know there are the dolmens and off course the very famous Stonehenge. Those we can say that are monuments and the first form of architecture. In the caves the sorcerer made draws about the hunts of the next days. They believed that the hunt will be like that and more abundant. We can consider the human being a symbolic and abstract being even in the pre-historical age. This is just a small introduction of what will be the art history course.
