If you remember the equation of straight line :

Y= mX +C

m is referred to the gradient.

To find the Gradient this equation should always come your mind :

m= Y2-Y1/ X2-X1

We`re provided with two points/coordinates A(6,4) B (8,2).

Now all you have to do is substitute in the equation :

m = 2-4/8-6

m = -2/2

m= -1

Therefore your equation should look like Y= -1X +C , where -1 is your gradient at the point A(6,4)B (8,2)
