Science of the Ending Events (Part 1)

All divine scri ptures predict the same World-ending events: When the earth is shaken with her utmost shaking (Quran 99:1-3) Bible:Joel:2:31 says: The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. Bible:2 Peter:3:10 Warns of a sudden strike, when: The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved . The Quran in 21:40 confirms the same: For that catastrophe will occur all of a sudden and will overpower them so abruptly that they shall neither be able to ward it off nor shall they get any respite. (Quran 21:40)

...The fact is that the earthquake of the Resurrection is a terrible thing. (Quran 22:1) It s a Heavy Day. (Quran 76:27) ... That will weigh heavily on the heavens and the earth and it shall not come to you other than all of a sudden . (Quran 7:187) so indeed: ...The Hour of Resurrection, (is) a most grievous and bitter Hour! (Quran 54:46)

The holy scri ptures describe the doomsday destruction in agreement: The Calamity! What is Calamity? And do you know what Calamity is? On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. (Quran 101:1-5) Qariah is derived from qar, which means to hammer hard, one thing on another, causing an ear-splitting noise, such that: ...when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast and the earth and the mountains are carried aloft and are crushed to bits at one stroke, (Quran 69:14)

The indubitable event! And what is that indubitable event? And what do you know what that indubitable event is? The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false . (Quran 69:1-4) Here is the crucial warning: ...say to them, "I warn you of a thunderbolt of punishment, the like of which had descended upon the `Ad and the Thamud. (Quran 41:13) Consequently, We sent upon them a stormy wind...so that We might make them taste a disgraceful scourge in the life of this world, but the scourge of the Hereafter is even more disgraceful there they shall have none to help them. (Quran 41:16)

Thamud were destroyed by a violent catastrophe with a roaring noise (Quran 69:5) Thereupon a terrible earthquake seized them... (Quran 7:78) And the Blast (awesome cry) overtook .Oh, the Thamud were destroyed. (Quran 11:67-68) As for the Thamud ....a humiliating scourge (a thunderbolt affliction) overtook them all of a sudden... (Quran 41:17) As for `Ad, they were destroyed by a furious windstorm (Quran 69:6) ... a great scourge overwhelmed them...and We cast them away like scum. (Quran 23:41) which made rotten everything that it blew on (Quran 51:42) ....a storm of wind bringing a painful torment... (Quran 46:24-25)

But on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all: after the same manner shall it be on the day that the Son of man (Jesus) is revealed. On that day, He shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field likewise not return back. (Bible:Luke:29-31)

The magnitude of a catastrophe resulting from the collision of two sizable bodies depends entirely on the magnitude, density, composition, angling speed, and trajectory of the two objects. Colliding planet size bodies could either be annihilated, flinging chunks of debris that will fall back under gravity and generate more commotions. Or one or both could survive the percussion and re-engage in orbits around the sun. Another possibility is that the commotion would fling each of the surviving bodies out of the solar system, spiralling them into the sun or else initiate elliptical orbits or cause ejection into other objects.

Scientists have recently discovered five brown dwarfs, close (in terms of celestial distances) to the solar system. Nasa describes these free-floating worlds as: Wandering alone in the galaxy, they do not orbit a parent star. Not much is known about how these planets came to exist, but scientists theorize that they may be either failed stars or planets ejected from very young systems after an encounter with another planet. These rogue planets are said to glow faintly from the heat of their formation. Once they cool down, they will be dancing in the dark or completely invisible.

The strength of comet or asteroid punches - no matter how big, cannot be sufficient to unlock planets from the sun s gravitational clench. A scientific study, (published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters) based on computer simulated models of high magnitude asteroid-impacts and their riptide effects across the globe, notes that a knock even by a sizable asteroid, cannot throw the earth out of position. The planet will rumble with seismic shaking, possibly killing upto 11 million out of the seven billion world population - but only if a major city is hit directly, cratering on impact, and erasing man-made structures, with some short-term climate effects and dust filled skies, of course.

The verse: When the sun is folded up (like a turban) (Quran 81:1) also suggests a catastrophe of unseen proportions when the sun s material is stripped out into an elongated bandeau and wound around a rotating object of much greater gravitational force. Believe or not, feebler cosmic objects do have their material torn away and slurped in this way, by their nearby companions. This is commonplace in binary star systems or when a wandering black-hole sneaks into a star system. According to New Scientist, more than four-fifths of the night-sky single lights, are in fact, two or more stars orbiting together. Binary stars make up about one third of the Milky Way Star Systems, whereas two thirds are said to be single stars.

A 2017 study has indicated that almost every star like the sun is born with a companion. In Binary Star Systems, two stars orbit a common central mass or around each other. Gradually spiralling in toward one another, inter-transferring mass or in case of a gravitational mismatch, one will completely devour the other. Besides, stars do drift around occasionally, a massive star might seize a passing one and create a new binary pair. Research documentaries from Science TV Channels have quoted that the sun s solitary sight is more queer to comprehend than the discovery of a possible partner. Paleontologists think that the cyclical nature of periodic mass extinctions on earth, also support the likelihood of an invisible brown dwarf, a dim star or white dwarf being in binary bond with the sun.

And the earth and the mountains are carried aloft and are crushed to bits at one stroke, on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day. (Quran 69:14-16). This clearly predicts a disruption in the balance of gravitational forces. New studies (The Astrophysical Journal Letters) and calculated data from computer simulations, reveal that galaxies, the size of the Milky Way, could host many supermassive black holes - some of which rove around.

Hundreds of these drifting black holes are multiple times more massive than the sun. They can approach undetected because they do not accrete gas and hence do not visibly glow like some humongous black holes. Smaller interstellar black holes can be sensed only by the effects of their gravitational influence, when they bend the passing light (gravitational lensing), which in turn makes the background stars shine brighter than normal.

Astronomical objects do get kicked and thrown away at very high escape velocity, in a random direction toward the sun, due to conservation of momentum produced by interactions in space. Cygnus X-1, with a diameter of 44 kilometres, is an interstellar black hole, 6,000 light-years from the solar system. Though thousands of times smaller than our planets, it holds sufficient mass to alter orbits, including that of the sun, even from a distance of one or so light-year away. Such a black hole passing directly through the solar system would gorge every bit of it. Its invisible entry into the Oort Cloud, would cause a catastrophic inward comet influx. The limb from limb tearing-down of the outer, and later inner bodies would create a roaring accretion disk of heated gas and dust around the relatively much smaller black hole.

The predicted devastation - whatever its nature - will launch from a nearby source: Hearken on the Day when the caller will call from a place nearby (Quran 50:41). Bible:Luke 21:25-26 says: And there will be signs in the sun, the moon and stars. And on the earth distress of nations in perplexity, because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens (gravitational balance) will be shaken. Two commotions are predicted on: The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, and will be followed by another quaking. (Quran 79:6-7) Bible: 2 Peter 3:12 describes: ....the coming of the Day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!

This kind of scenario can be certainly likely if the arrival of a cosmic body, more massive than the sun, reaches near the asteroid belt. The arrival would jolt the earth with convulsions, so that: ... the earth will be shaken with a mighty shaking (Quran 99:1). Beginning with the stripping of the outer atmosphere When the sky is rent asunder ..the earth is stretched out, (Quran 84:1-3)...The earth is ground to powder (Quran 89:21). Whereas planets are easy morsels for black holes, bigger bodies like the sun, are not. Except for a feeble hope for the sun s survival, more likely, it too will be ripped and consumed by the clamorous, millions of miles across accretion disk, swirling around its central black hole - replacing the solar system.
