Information about Waseema

I am a UK qualified Maths teacher currently working part-time and also tutoring privately Ks 2-4.
My work means a serious commitment. I plan lessons according to needs, based on pupil feedback as well as my continuing assessment. I am conversant with ongoing changes in curriculum requirements, exam techniques and the mark schemes.
I explain Maths in step-by-step detail, in order to refresh knowledge and skills essential to the learning of more advanced topics. It is important to remove the learning gaps that usually are a hindrance in making further progress in the subject.

I am literate in Urdu language and have prepared GCSE students in line with exam requirements, using the prescribed vocabulary lists and past papers. I also teach speaking skills to adult learners and children - interested in learning Urdu and have a collection of appropriate picture resources to help.

Availability: I am available throughout the week and the weekends. However, the time will have to be adjusted according to prior engagements.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I am a qualified teacher with a QTS and a Diploma in Professional Studies of Education from the Institute of Education, University of London, UK. I have over 35 years of teaching experience in Maths and Urdu.

My teaching experience enables me to make instant detection of deficiencies that may impede pupil progress and therefore will deliver matching input from the very start, which no doubt, manifests improvement in student performance in school. Many of my pupils have had their group upgraded within a short tutoring period.

I am also qualified as a bilingual support teacher from Kings College London. I have a collection of resources to match with ongoing change in Maths topics and exam requirements.

I have a collection of latest resources to organise time-effective delivery of lessons. I am punctual, patient and vigilant to change in the curriculum.

Tutor isn`t punctual and reliable as she keeps shouting at my daughter whenever she asked questions repeatedly. Tutors are there getting paid to make subject materials easy to understand but, Waseema wasn`t doing it.

Only had a few lessons, they were good lessons, unfortunately due to school exams we were unable to continue. Mrs Waseema showed a keen interest in teaching and my daughter picked up quite a bit.
