Maths was invented some 2,500 years ago, many of them tried to figure out hoe calculations could have been done by applying different methods. Many in those days were thought to be encapsulated by the idea of research, it was the most significant activity at the time. There were lack of resources and hunger was at its extreme height. Many researchers, however, in those days had failed and some managed to pursue and find success those some became Pythagorus, Euclid, Archemedes, Sir Isaac Newton and many more.

We remember them today for the great work they had done in their time without them, there would be no further advances in maths and technology we see today they are legend of many generations and we continue to study their principles today at our academic institutions.

However, the main question remains unanswered i.e. why people find maths to be a hard subject?

We`ll there are numerous suggestions made by experts.

One of the answers lies within ourselves we don`t intend to practice maths as much as we used to some centuries ago

because there was no technology in place the only opportunity was education at the time and after completion of education research was the only to get to where we are today. Second answer could be that technology has made our lives taken for granted i.e. we ought to rely more on computers so that our calculations are solved by the high - tech processors that it has inside. That way we save time less conscious reasoning because of computers everywhere no time to practise maths in our spare time on pen and paper because we think our computer can do our job for us and, however, it`s very likely that benefits like technology provided to children may make them feel complacent at an early age.

Whereas eight decades ago things were different many hadn`t had any money to purchase stationary and neither school uniforms there were no state schools and private schools were expensive many children had to go to ragged schools that were poorly funded by the government country during these decades was at war which made life difficult for the citizens and many enrolled onto ration cards for a prolonged time.

Children were required to go to schools as there were no other options for them except for education. It was, however,

impregnated into their minds at an early age by their parents or guardians that education was the only way to success many tales of the past were told to them about how effective was education. Though society at the time went through its own immense sufferings such as the crash of the economy unemployment at its peak spread of the plague and hunger in many deprived areas.

Poverty, however, made it difficult for children to study at ragged schools many had to work part-time to support their loved ones as there were no social benefits active at the time and some gave up education altogether for full time labour as they were desperate.

Today we seem to forget how fortunate we are that we have a good education system in UK that supports many regardless of what class and race you are history, however, has given us the ability to reflect on the past and present and mostly are aware to compare and perhaps develop an appreciation for what we have today.
