Below are questions I have designed specifically for each academic level to test your aptitude and should be representative of your overall mathematical skills. Please feel free to attempt any of the questions that suit your current academic level/age group.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you`re stuck on one of the questions.

Please note that due to the limitations of using a keyboard, some mathematical symbols cannot be shown, instead I have used the following notation to show you what I mean:

a/b = a divided by b

sqrt(x) = square root of x

int(x) = integral of x

d(y)/dx = differential of y

Primary (11+):

1) 3/5 + 7/8 = ?

2) 2/7 x 3/6 = ?

3) 115 - 64 = ?

4) 12 x 11 = ?

5) 132/6 = ?

KS3:

1) Find the value of x if: 5(x - 4) = 30

2) If a = 2 and b = 9, what is the value of: a2 + 5 x sqrt(b)

3) Complete the next two numbers of this sequence: 1, 2, 12, 30, 56

4) What is 20% of 22% of 128?

5) Solve these simultaneous equations: 8x - 3y = 17 and 4x + y = 21

GCSE:
