Firstly, in my opinion the writer uses a simile to directly compare the character of Megalo to be elegant. From this we can infer from the words and phrases when he states: 9 movement like that of a swan . The effect upon the reader describes the way in which Megalo puts the men on the ground so smartly.

Another technique used is repetition of the past tense verb kissed , this shows the descri ption of Magalo s affection for Leomoni. This is effective because the language feature repeats kissed in order to emphasise the point that he has feelings for the woman.
