Crash! Bang! Splash! My pace quickened as I knew there was no escaping the bad weather. The thunder roared through the air I knew the heavy rain was approaching fast as the lightning flashes were increasing. Bang! It was too late the droplets from the sky were now like hailstones they tumbled from the sky with great force. I could feel a branch of a tree dangling near my face: it made me shiver with fright as it obstructed my vision. The thunder and lightning in the sky pelted through the woods continuously overhead. I tried to find shelter under the grey, gloomy, gigantic sky. I could hear amongst the chaos a (howling) sound of what seemed to be a wild animal trapped under the tree. Then I heard a loud bark sound similar to that of a dog, except slightly higher pitched - more like a squeal.
Slowly I peeled back the branches of a fallen tree to reveal the treasure within. It was a bitter-sweet beautiful baby fox who has obviously had lost its mother during the horrific storm which was trapped under the tree. I could see its pearly white teeth flash in the moonlit sky as it resembled the white flashes of the lightening above our heads. There was a deafening echo of chilling fright in the air. The baby fox s hellish beauty struck me as it was seemed defenceless and disillusioned. I discovered it was an infant female fox who had frightening beautiful blue eyes that made my heart skip a beat. I saw a flash of red crimson blood spurt out of the fox s paw so I knew she was badly injured Bark! Bark! Squeal! This resource was uploaded by: Helen
